Unfortunately, (due to lack of photographical evidence) I don't have any pictures of how I made the actual flower so I will simply have to explain it.
The flowers themselves were actually pretty simple.
Materials:
-yellow fleece
-brown fleece
-dark green felt
-brown DualDuty thread
-beige polyester yarn
-pipe cleaners
-stuffing
1. I cut out all of the pieces I needed. I drew a simple six-petal flower and to keep it even, I only drew three petals over a folded sheet of paper and once it was cut out, it was nice and even. After that, I also cut out brown circles for the centers of the flowers. Then I pinned the pattern to some yellow fleece and cut out the pieces of fleece according to the pattern. Each flower has 2 layers of 6 petals (12 petals total).
2. With the brown pieces, use the beige yarn to decorate them. All that I did was start from one end of the brown piece and sew horizontally to the other side 3 times and then do the same thing vertically. Does that make sense? Anyway, it's circled in (aqua). Duh.

3. Sew the 2 yellow pieces together until the final petal - this is where you stuff the layer.
-Make sure not to stuff the flowers too much because then they will be too lumpy.
-I used brown thread (to match with brown centers) and I hand-sewed it but it's optional.
4. Once the yellow pieces were sewn and stuffed, I sewed them together (again, hand-sewn) and then I began on the stems!
*because I have pictures, my explanations will be a little bit more abrupt.
5. Cut patterns by tracing against the newly formed flower and cut patterns out of green felt.
6. Fold the green felt cut-out in half.
7. Fold the cut-outs into fourths and cut off the tips (only slightly because a little truly goes a long way).
8. Then stick the pipe cleaner stem through the hole.
-The stem is made by collecting 3-5 (it depends how thick you would like it) and sewing green felt around them but leaving about 1-2 inches at the top available to fold over the bottom of the flower like shown.
9. Sew the 1-2 inches of pipe cleaners that have been folded over the bottoms of the flowers. By folding the pipe cleaners over the flower-bottoms, it gives them more structure and adds a bit of detail when you look at it from underneath.
-It helps to pin the base (pink) to the flower so that it won't move around as much.
10. Hand-sew the extra pipe cleaner to the bottom of the flower (blue). Once this is done, begin sewing the bottom of the flower to the actual flower (pink).
-It helps to start on the side that you aren't planning on showing because then your knot will be hidden.
-Also, I typically start at the tip of one of the petals.
Then, use the extra thread to attach the fabric around the pipe cleaners to the actual bottom of the flower (purple).
